The Allenvale Formal

Last Friday some of the students in our class attended the Allenvale School Formal. The theme was "Frozen" and the venue was decorated beautifully with giant snowflakes, fairy lights and other pretty things. We all loved seeing everyone dressed up.

Aimee-Lee looked so beautiful in her sparkly dress. She had her hair and makeup done by a family friend, and wore perfect jewels to match her dress.

Colin looked fantastic too. The DJ played music the music we love to dance to, and Colin made the most of the opportunity. We got to choose some of our favourite music for the playlist.

Merit wore a new dress for the occasion. She wore one of her favourite necklaces and looked beautiful. Her mum and sister got to see her dancing with her friends.

Alex couldn't believe his eyes when he walked into the hall. It was so amazing seeing everyone dancing. Georgia looked stunning in her elegant dress, and Alex wore the coolest hat.

Everyone enjoyed the supper, and then returned to the dance floor for a bit more action. We were really impressed with the students who had been learning Ceroc dancing. They were showing off the skills they had learnt, and made a real effort to invite lots of people to dance with them. Some of us might like to attend some Ceroc lessons next year.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped to make the night such a success. We thought it was a great idea to invite some seniors from Ferndale and Waitaha to join us too. We are starting to get know some of the other young people who attend special schools because we are meeting up more frequently.

We decided that this year was the best formal ever!
